How to send text messages to SIP accounts
The following guide demonstrates how to send text
messages in Ozeki NG SMS Gateway to SIP accounts by using the VoIP SIP Connection service provider.
Configuring the VoIP SIP Connection service provider
To enable sending messages to SIP accounts your first task is to add a
VoIP SIP Connection to the service providers' list. You can do this by clicking install
next to VoIP SIP Connection in the Add service provider connection menu (Figure 1).
Figure 1 - Add a VoIP SIP Connection
After you have added the service provider you must configure it properly to enable sending text messages
via SIP. The first menu in the VoIP SIP Connection's configuration form is the Connection menu (Figure 2).
Figure 2 - Configuring SIP account in a VoIP SIP Connection
Here, you need to select the Use SIP account option. Under this section, you need to add the SIP account settings
for your service provider connection. It will register to the PBX and via this service provider connection, you will be
able to send text messages to other SIP accounts. Here you must add a proper User ID, Display name, Register name, and Register password
you will use and there is a Domain server field for the address of your PBX. You must check the Registration required checkbox if your PBX
requires registration.
The next tab is the Advanced tab. Here you can specify the IP address your connection will listen to and the
appropriate port numbers for calls. Under that, there is a Firewall traversal section. Here you can specify if you want to use
STUN or TURN and you can add your STUN / TURN server settings here. If you want to use the connection only in your local network, you need to
select the Use local IP address option (Figure 3).
Figure 3 - Advanced config in a VoIP SIP Connection.
After you have entered everything properly, you can click connect on the left side (Figure 4). The VoIP SIP service provider connection you have just added
will connect to the PBX configured. You can start sending text messages after the connection established successfully.

Sending text messages
When you have a running configuration of a VoIP SIP Connection you can start sending text messages to SIP accounts. You just
need to specify the SIP address of the account you want to send a message. For example, we sent a message to 868, with the message text "Test".
After composing and sending the message, the VoIP SIP Connection will send the message to the SIP account specified in the To: field, which is 868 now (Figure 5).

Remember to add a proper address in the To: field - one that is registered to the PBX. If you have added an appropriate recipient (one that your PBX will be able to
send to), it will recieve the message (Figure 6).
